Amazing, isn’t it! So much history and so many legends all in a piece of cloth.

I have a small piece of the fabric in the collection and it is great to learn more about how it is created and made.

Dear all,
My husband Peter and I are planning a move to Shetland to live at Aywick, Yell, in summer 2011. We both love music and Peter is a music teacher and plays many instruments including piano, organ, guitar, flute and celtic harp (he’s just beginning this last one!) We are spending a few days on Yell in August this year from 18th to 24th, and would be interested if there were any musical events happening around then. I realise it’s a short time this time, but we are looking forward to joining in any musical events from next year and to making new friends in Shetland.
